“None of the elections are a matter of personal prestige for me. I am a worker of BJP and the UP election is a matter of prestige for BJP. Nitin Gadkari has come into the party for serving the nation, society and the poor. I am not in politics for achieving any position and to gain anybody’s favour. As there was no FIR registered against Mr. B.S. Kushwaha, when he was inducted into BJP, he cannot be claimed as guilty. Merely on the basis of accusations he cannot be termed as a culprit. Media cannot decide who is corrupt and who is not when they have no evidence with them. So even though investigation is going on, it doesn’t mean he is guilty. But I own the decision to induct Babu Singh Kushwaha even though it has been taken by consulting many leaders of the party.BJP is a democratic party where decisions are taken by everybody’s consent and not by a single person.”

“All the 5 elections are like Agnipariksha for us. I am a worker of Bhartiya Janata Party and with the help of other party workers, I am confident that we will clear this Agnipariksha and come in merit. Talking about Prime Ministerial candidate I am not in the race of PM. Instead my mission is to work for gaining 200 seats in 2014 elections .There are many capable and competent leaders in BJP who qualify for the position of PM. In 2014 elections, Narendra Modi, Advaniji, Sushmaji, Arun Jaitley, Dr Joshi, Rajnath Singh are all competent leaders of BJP. No matter how much hard work and efforts other Congress leaders will put in, but only Rahul Gandhi will be the President of Congress party. But BJP is a democratic party and under the guidance of Atalji and Advaniji we will try to promote new leadership. All those who are doing creditable work at the State level will definitely come to the Centre.”

“Primarily I am a worker of BJP and as a worker it is my duty to contest all the elections with courage and determination. I might have committed certain mistakes but I believe that mistakes are committed by those people only who actually take efforts and work. This time BJP will come to power in Punjab and Uttarkhand. Once again we will achieve victory in Goa and we will gain good power in Uttar Pradesh as well. When there is no reservation in our constitution in the name of religion then why this politics of religion is being played in UP? BJP will not enter into any kind of alliance with Bhartiya Samajwadi Party and Samajwadi Party neither before nor after the elections. Delhi me dosti aur Lucknow me nurakushti is the strategy of Congress, BSP and SP together. Congress party is the root cause of all the evils and problems. Corruption, price rise, unemployment…will exist till the Congress party is in rule.”
